Val O’Kelly, a native of Kildare Town, is an accomplished professional chef with more than 35 years of experience in the culinary industry, working in numerous 4- and 5-star hotels both internationally and within Ireland. Val established ‘Subh Fraoċ Bán’ over 6 years ago to share his range of restaurant-quality, artisan jams, sauces, and chutneys packed with natural flavours for families to enjoy.

Located in Ballinode, Co. Monaghan, each product is made in small batches, using traditional cooking methods, and each jar is hand-poured and sealed to preserve the natural taste of their ingredients. The full range of products are suitable for vegetarians, and completely free from artificial colourings and preservatives. Val sources fruits locally, when in season and forages nearby native woodlands for his wild garlic pesto… preserving them for enjoyment throughout the year.
