Mallika Basu is a food writer, educator and adviser who champions food as a force for good. Author of Miss Masala: Real Indian Cooking for Busy Living and Masala: Indian Cooking for Modern Living, she is the former co-founder of a spice company and writes bold, spiced recipes. Through her award-nominated In Good Taste newsletter, Good Food magazine features and events, Mallika also shares thought leadership on culture, diversity and sustainability in food. Her forthcoming book, In Good Taste: What Shapes What We Eat and Drink – And Why It Matters (Jan 2026), explores the role of food lovers as tastemakers and changemakers.
