About:

Award-winning writer, author and MC, Caroline Hennessy has been focused on food since editing Ireland’s first food website for RTÉ in 2000. A member and former Chair of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild, a McKenna's Guide Editor and a graduate of Ballymaloe Cookery School, she established Bibliocook: All About Food in 2005. Caroline is the author of The Official Guinness Cookbook and co-author of Sláinte: The Complete Guide to Irish Craft Beer and Cider. She writes about all aspects of food, with a particular focus on small food producers and how they help to develop and maintain a sustainable local food system. A regular writer for the Irish Examiner and Irish Country Living, she has worked across a wide variety of publications and platforms, including Food.ie, Irish food magazines Scoop and Guzzle and RTÉ Lyric FM's Culture File. Currently working as an MC for Bord Bia Bloom, Euro Toques Ireland, Blas na hÉireann and Cork Kerry Food Market and is also the head of marketing for independent Irish microbrewery Eight Degrees Brewing.
