Ciara Coogan is an artist and illustrator from Galway, Ireland. While living in the South of France, her habit of doodling naturally transformed from hobby to vibrant career that’s spanned ten years, many countries, and attracts acclaim at home and around the world. Finding awe in the everyday, she puts pen to paper with the hope of capturing those little moments of wonder and delight.

A love of food led Ciara to merge her talents with her tastebuds. She believes art and food to be intrinsically linked, placing value on the power each has to bridge cultures, warm hearts, and cultivate a sense of connection.

To coincide with the Ballymaloe Festival of Food, we have invited Ciara to showcase a selection of her published and personal food illustration work here at the Ballymaloe Grainstore from the 1st - 31st May.
